Looking for garden shed murals with a little personality? Think giant daisies, a moonlit sky or sunflowers stretching right across the doors.

You can keep the colors simple or go all out with bright flowers and playful patterns.

These pictures include painted sheds plus a few gates, walls and smaller pieces worth borrowing ideas from. If you’re planning a garden shed mural, there’s plenty here to help you pick a direction.

Shed mural ideas and painted garden inspiration

white daisies on sage green

We’re starting off strong with these super cute white daisies. I love the yellow centers against the weathered green boards.

The long leaves fill the bottom while the flowers reach up toward the roof.

If you want to follow this look, keep your bouquet on one wall and leave the door plain.

a painted garden window

How pretty is this pretend window? The painted open frame looks out onto leafy trees, pink flowers and a little pond.

There’s even an arched section of blue sky above it.

This example is on an indoor wall rather than a shed. You could borrow the window idea for a blank shed wall without adding an actual opening.

sunflowers and white silhouettes

I am obsessed with these oversized sunflowers. The yellow petals come in from opposite edges of the dark front wall, while white flower silhouettes cover the side.

You don’t have to use the same design on every wall. Try big colorful blooms on the front and a simpler outline pattern around the corner.

owls under a blue night sky

If you are looking for a shed with lots of little details, then this one is for you. There’s a glowing moon, a flying owl and red spotted mushrooms tucked along the bottom.

I love the turquoise doors with their white crosses. The small owl painted on the left door is such a cute extra touch.

big bees and yellow flowers

How cute are these bees?! Their yellow stripes and white wings look so good against the black garden gate.

Little yellow flowers fill the spaces below.

Although this is a gate, the same arrangement could work across shed doors. Keep some bees tilted in different directions like these.

lemons with leafy outlines

Don’t want every leaf and petal filled with color? No problem!

This wall mural pairs bright yellow lemons with black-outlined leaves and white flowers.

The example sits beside a green doorway, not on a shed. I’d borrow those oversized lemons for a white shed wall and keep the leaves as simple line drawings.

an orange watering can

This is such a fun way to bring garden tools into the design. An orange watering can sits among tall flowers, with yellow dashed lines looping across the dark boards.

I especially love the yellow planter beneath the painting. Try repeating one mural color in a planter if you want that same little finishing touch.

a sunset over the water

This sunset may just be one of my favorites here. I love the orange sky and its reflection on the water, with dark trees along the shoreline.

The scene mostly stays inside a circle, but the painted ripples spread out underneath. Keep that detail if you want something a little different from a framed landscape.

hearts flowers and swirls

If you love bright colors, this little shed gives you plenty to work with. There are pink corners covered in black hearts, purple swirls and a big yellow sun beneath the window.

The long multicolored heart on the door is adorable. Pick a turquoise background if you want to try this same colorful mix.

wildflowers above a bench

I love this row of wildflowers behind the long bench. The orange blooms, blue flower spikes and little pink petals look so pretty against the muted green wall.

Let the flowers reach different heights rather than lining them up evenly. That’s a detail worth keeping from this design.

white flowers all around

Don’t want lots of different colors? Look no further because these big white flowers are for you.

Pale green centers, darker green dots and curved stems break up the black background.

The pattern continues over the door and around the side. I’d keep that all-over approach rather than squeezing every flower inside its own panel.

butterfly wings in a meadow

Those orange butterfly wings are so cute! The person standing in front shows how the painted wings can become part of a photo.

Pink, white and yellow flowers fill the green wall around them.

This is a wall mural rather than a shed. You could adapt the wings for a shed side with enough clear space to stand in front.

fish and orange coral

Who says you have to stick with flowers? This blue shed has striped fish, curling seahorses and big orange coral shapes wrapping around the corner.

I love that the doors stay white while the underwater scene fills the walls. Leave yours plain too if you want a similar break in the pattern.

folk-art flowers and blue birds

I am obsessed with this little door. The blue birds sit beside a yellow sun with a face, above rows of red and blue flowers.

The stems curve toward each other down the middle. Keep the paired flowers and tiny yellow diamonds if you want to follow this folk-art look.

a white bouquet on black

This is another pretty way to use just a few colors. A white line-drawn bouquet fills one door of this dark outbuilding, with a flower garland running beneath the roof.

The little patterns on the vase are my favorite part. For a smaller shed, you could borrow just the bouquet.

oversized fan-shaped leaves

If you’re looking for something leafy without lots of flowers, go with a design like this. Fine pale lines spread across the dark green paneled door, while larger black leaves cover the surrounding tan wall.

This isn’t a garden shed, but the giant fan-shaped leaf is worth saving for a wide shed door.

sunflowers from floor to roof

I know the sunflowers above are gorgeous, but this version is another favorite. Mostly because the green leaves fill so much of the wall beneath those huge yellow blooms.

Smaller flowers continue across the central door. Let your design cross the door edges too if you want this same full-wall look.

a moonlit mountain scene

How lovely is this little seating corner? The fence behind it has a crescent moon, scattered stars and green mountain shapes beneath a dark blue sky.

For a shed version, you could carry the landscape across one side wall. I’d keep the small stars and that pale band of color above the mountains.

diagonal rainbow stripes

Don’t want to paint flowers or a whole landscape? This small roofed cabinet offers a different idea.

Diagonal bands of pink, orange, yellow and teal run around the clear-front door.

It’s much smaller than a shed, but you could borrow its stripes for yours. The colored roof slats are a fun detail too.

a pretend window and flower box

Last but definitely not least, we have this sweet painted window scene. I love the white curtains and the pink flowers spilling from the window box!

Tall sunflowers fill the left side, with a birdhouse and blue flowers on the right. Don’t miss the little painted chicken near the bottom.
