Looking for the best honeymoon destinations in the caribbean? Start with the scenery you’d love to wake up to.

Mountain-backed pools, colorful waterfronts and little coves give you plenty to choose from. There’s more here than a spot to put your beach towel!

You can keep things simple with beach days or plan a few adventures together. These 20 pictures offer a lovely starting point, though not every location is identifiable from its photo. Use those scenes as inspiration rather than confirmed destination listings.

Caribbean honeymoon views worth saving

a pool overlooking the Pitons

We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous view of Saint Lucia’s Pitons. The pool edge seems to meet the sea, with those steep green peaks rising across the water.

If a mountain view is high on your honeymoon wish list, save this one. I’d make time to sit together and take it all in.

beachfront pool days

Don’t want to choose between a pool and the beach? This is the kind of setting to look for.

White umbrellas surround the bright blue pool, with palms and a strip of pale sand just beyond.

Before booking a similar stay, check that beach access is included rather than assuming it from the view.

a bay from above

How pretty is this curved bay? Little sailboats dot the turquoise water, with another harbor tucked behind the hills.

If you both love a good lookout, add a coastal viewpoint to your plans. Check the route first so your scenic stop suits the kind of outing you actually want.

golden skies and sailboats

I am obsessed with the golden reflection across this water. The boats look so small beneath that bright yellow sky.

For a similar evening, look for a west-facing waterfront spot. Leave a little space in your schedule rather than rushing straight from an excursion to dinner.

winding sandbars

If you love those pale sand-and-blue-water combinations, this one is for you. The sandbars curl through the water, with boats sitting in the darker channels.

A guided sandbar outing could be a lovely addition to your trip. Ask an operator about tides and access instead of treating every pale patch as somewhere to walk.

a catamaran in a blue cove

This sailing scene may just be one of my favorites here. I love the white catamaran against the turquoise water, plus the rocky green shoreline behind it.

If you want to spend part of your honeymoon on a boat, compare shared day sails with private charters. You don’t have to plan the whole trip around sailing.

green hills along the coast

There’s so much to love about this coastline. Houses are scattered across the green slopes, with a little bay on the left and waves breaking along the rocks.

A hillside stay might suit you if the view matters more than stepping straight onto sand. Check the actual journey to the beach before choosing.

a little palm-lined island

How cute is this little strip of beach? A row of palms and a green-roofed pavilion sit beyond all that pale turquoise water.

Save this as inspiration for an island day trip. I’d keep the rest of that day simple rather than squeezing in another big outing.

clear water beside the rocks

If you’re looking for a classic beach-day scene, this one is for you. There are swimmers near the shore, umbrellas farther along the sand and clear ripples beside the dark rocks.

The water looks inviting, but a photo can’t tell you the swimming conditions. Check local guidance when choosing your beach.

a boulder by the surf

That enormous rock is the detail I keep coming back to. It sits just off the sand, with white surf behind it and palm shadows stretching across the foreground.

Not every honeymoon beach stop needs to be a swimming stop. A shoreline like this is lovely inspiration for a scenic walk instead.

golden light on the shoreline

Don’t want every day to be filled with activities? No problem!

Take inspiration from this narrow stretch of sand, rolling waves and golden light across the sea.

I especially love the leafy branches framing the view. Leave an evening open for a beach walk if local access and conditions allow.

Curaçao’s colorful waterfront

Who says your honeymoon has to be all beaches? Willemstad’s waterfront in Curaçao brings pink, yellow and blue buildings right to the water’s edge.

I love the decorative rooflines and bright café umbrellas. If colorful streets appeal to you as much as blue water, this is a destination worth exploring.

flamingos and bright pink scenery

The pink and turquoise pairing is so striking in this image. Flamingos stand in the water beside vivid pink bands along the banks.

Treat those intense colors as inspiration, not a promise of what you’ll see in person. If flamingos are on your wish list, research responsible wildlife viewing and give the birds plenty of space.

a waterfall among the trees

I am obsessed with this waterfall setting. The narrow cascade, hanging roots and green-covered rocks are just gorgeous around the blue-green pool.

If you want a break from beach days, look into a guided waterfall visit. Confirm trail conditions and whether entering the water is permitted before you go.

yellow umbrellas and mountain views

This is another pretty pool setting, but it’s a little different from the beachfront one above. I love the yellow umbrellas around the long pool and the mountains rising behind the buildings.

If this is your kind of view, compare inland-facing rooms as well as ocean-facing ones when researching a stay.

a beach framed by boulders

This little beach may be my favorite of the smaller coves here. Dark boulders frame the pale sand, with leafy branches hanging over the blue water.

A tucked-away setting can look wonderfully private in a picture. Just check public access and visitor information rather than assuming you’ll have it to yourselves.

nothing but blue

Don’t want a complicated honeymoon wish list? Start with this: clear turquoise water and a wide blue horizon.

I love the bright ripples across the foreground.

There’s a sailboat in the distance, but otherwise the scene is beautifully simple. This is the picture to save if time by the water is your priority.

a long crescent beach

If you love a sweeping beach view, then this one is for you. The pale shoreline curves around the bay, with palms along the sand and hills in the distance.

For a similar setting, look at a map as well as hotel photos. It helps to see where your stay sits along the beach.

lanterns beside the pool

How pretty is this after-dark setting? The blue-lit pool curves past little lanterns, with a glowing bar beneath a steep roof.

The tall palms make it even lovelier. If you’re comparing resorts, look at evening photos too, especially if you’d like to spend some nights at your hotel.

a pink-toned shoreline

Last but definitely not least, we have this gorgeous pink-toned beach. I love the pale blush sand beside the turquoise water and the long shoreline stretching into the distance.

If pink sand is the detail you’re dreaming about, verify the location before booking. Its appearance can vary with the light and the photograph.
