Looking for all inclusive honeymoon destinations with a little more than a pretty beach? Think overwater villas, mountain-view pools and colorful waterfronts.

These pictures give you plenty of ideas for the kind of setting you’d love, whether you want lazy pool days or a few outings together.

You can keep things simple or go all out. Just remember that a photo doesn’t confirm an all-inclusive package.

Check the property, room category and included meals or activities before you book.

Honeymoon settings worth saving

overwater villa and blue pool

We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous overwater villa. I love the little pool facing the lagoon, with loungers at one end and steps leading down toward the sea.

If this is your honeymoon wish list, ask specifically for an overwater room with its own pool. Don’t assume every villa has the same setup.

two peaks beyond the pool

How gorgeous is this view? The two green peaks rise straight above the bay, with a couple looking out from the edge of the pool.

Saint Lucia’s Pitons are the standout here. If the mountain view is what you love, make that a priority when comparing properties and room locations.

curved balconies and winding pools

I am obsessed with these curved blue pools. The balconies, little bridges and ocean in the background give you so much to look at.

Save this if you like the idea of staying close to the water without choosing an overwater bungalow. Ask how the balcony pools and lower pool areas connect to your particular room.

turquoise water and paddleboards

Want your beach days to include something besides a lounger? There are paddleboarders in the turquoise water here, plus a catamaran sitting farther out.

For your own trip, check which water activities are included and which need a separate booking. I’d leave some time for that long stretch of beach too.

a sandy path to the lagoon

This may just be one of my favorite settings here. I love the sandy path winding between all that greenery, with jagged mountains across the water.

The house sits beside the path rather than out over the lagoon. It’s lovely inspiration if you’d rather have a beachside base surrounded by plants.

pool days beside the beach

Don’t want to choose between a pool and the beach? This picture is for you.

White umbrellas surround the blue pool, with palms and a strip of sand just beyond.

If you’ve been searching for “honeymoon destinations all inclusive,” use this as a reminder to compare the layout too. Having your favorite spots close together might matter more than another restaurant.

a long sweep of pale sand

If you are looking for a beach-first honeymoon, this is the kind of picture to save. The shoreline curves into the distance, with rows of umbrellas and leaning palms beside the water.

I’d keep a morning free for a walk along the sand rather than planning an outing every day.

a deck over clear water

How cute is this overwater setup? There’s a blue pool, two loungers and a suspended net across the front of the deck.

The ladder down toward the water is another lovely detail.

Keep this photo handy when comparing villa categories. Those outdoor extras are worth checking individually.

pink skies and pool reflections

I love this pool scene with its pink sky and little lights reflected in the water. The palms and steep-roofed buildings make it even prettier.

If evenings at the hotel are a big part of your plans, look through pictures of the outdoor dining areas too. They deserve a spot on your shortlist.

a walkway above the greenery

If you are looking for something a little different, then this one is for you. An elevated walkway leads toward a rounded seating area above dense greenery.

The sunset is gorgeous, but that tucked-away seating nook is my favorite part. Ask about access and reservations if you find a property with a similar space.

a mountain beyond the treetops

Not every honeymoon mood board needs to start with a beach. This pool looks out over treetops toward a cone-shaped mountain, with orange light across the sky.

I’d save this for the scenery rather than use it to identify a particular hotel. The photograph alone doesn’t establish the location or package.

palms and little beach umbrellas

Don’t want an elaborate itinerary? No problem!

A beach lined with palms, loungers and little round umbrellas is plenty of inspiration for a slower trip.

I love how close the seating is to the pale blue water. Check whether beach loungers are included before making this your daily plan.

a rock-framed coastal pool

This is such a different water view from the wide-open beaches above. Huge rocks surround a small turquoise pool, with ferns and palms filling the slope behind it.

Save the setting for inspiration, but don’t assume it’s an accessible swimming spot. You’d need a confirmed location and local safety guidance before visiting.

a golden coastal arch

The rock arch is the star of this picture. I love the golden sand beneath it and the white surf curling along the shore.

If coastal sightseeing is on your wish list, consider a guided boat outing as an addition to your stay. Confirm the route and sea conditions rather than expecting this exact beach view.

a curved pool and raised terrace

This is another pretty pool setting, but it’s a little different from the ones above. The dark blue water curves around a large round building, with white umbrellas lined up along the terrace.

The coastline is visible beyond the trees. Check the actual beach route if easy shore access is important to you.

pigs in the shallows

Yes, those are pigs in the water! This is definitely a change from the pool-and-lounger pictures, with two pigs wading beside a visitor in the pale turquoise shallows.

If you’re considering an animal encounter, research welfare standards first. Give the animals space rather than chasing, touching or feeding them for a photo.

blue water beneath stalactites

I am obsessed with the colors in this cave scene. The bright blue water beneath all those pointed stalactites is gorgeous.

For a honeymoon with an outing or two, a guided cave or cenote visit could be worth considering. Confirm the site’s access rules and whether your package includes the excursion.

a broad pool facing the sea

If you’re looking for a classic resort-pool setting, this one has plenty to love. Rows of loungers face the water, with white umbrellas, palms and an open-sided pavilion behind them.

I’d use this as inspiration for a day with no big plans. Pick a poolside spot, bring a book and leave the afternoon open.

a colorful waterfront

Who says your honeymoon pictures have to be all sand and pools? I love the pink, blue and yellow buildings along this waterfront. The curved gables are so pretty.

If you like getting out to explore, look for a stay within reach of waterfront restaurants and streets. Budget separately for meals outside your package.

a cliff-edge ocean view

Last but definitely not least, we have this dramatic cliffside pool. I love the long green coastline and the white waves far below.

The image is labeled Uluwatu, Bali. Save it for the setting, then verify the specific property and meal plan.

A gorgeous ocean view doesn’t automatically mean an all-inclusive stay.
