Looking for a national park themed nursery with mountain views and cute little woodland details? Think blue forest murals, colorful park posters and a bear tucked into a storage cubby.
These pictures include full rooms plus smaller decorating ideas you can work into your own space.
You can keep things simple with framed prints or go all out with a mountain wall. A few ideas lean more woodland or starry sky than national parks, but there’s plenty here to help you pick your colors.

National park nursery ideas worth saving
blue mountains and pine trees
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous blue mountain wall. I love the dark pine trees against those lighter layers of mountains.
The navy-and-white striped curtains carry the blue right over to the window.
Try a similar mural on one wall of your national park nursery, then keep the other walls plain.

a gallery of park posters
How pretty are these park posters together? Grand Teton, Big Bend and Canyonlands sit above Arches, Bryce Canyon and Yellowstone.
The matching brown frames make this colorful group feel like a set.
Pick parks that mean something to your family if you want to make your own version.
woodland storage cubbies
I am obsessed with the little woodland animals in these cubbies. The bear silhouette and oversized arrow above them are just as cute.
Alternate pale storage bins with a few animal toys to follow this setup. Keep the small display decorations out of your baby’s reach and anchor the unit securely.
green walls and forest details
If you love the forest part of a park theme, this one is for you. There are tall tree decorations beside the chair, a framed woodland scene and little animals across the corner shelves.
I especially love the green round footstools. For sleep, keep the crib clear of pillows, loose blankets and toys.
a colorful map above the dresser
Don’t want to cover an entire wall with mountains? No problem!
This colorful national parks map gives a white changing area a little outdoor character.
The shelf and hanging baskets add storage beside the print. Keep changing supplies within your reach without placing heavy objects where they could fall onto the changing surface.
park prints and pink accents
This is another cute way to use a park map, but the pink details make it a little different. I love the pink mobile and the patterned rug beneath the brown crib.
Try pale pink alongside the greens and blues in your artwork if you don’t want an all-green room.
happy camper pennants
How cute are these camping pennants? The green one has a little tent beneath a moon and stars.
The yellow one pairs a standing bear with mountains.
Display a pair of camping pennants on your nursery wall for a similar look. Leave out the knife pictured beside them.
olive green and outdoor animals
If you’re looking for a starting palette, this mood board gives you plenty to work with. There’s an olive chair, a white crib, a brown dresser and a large checked background.
I love the fish picture and the little ranger bear. Choose one or two animal details if you want to keep your own room simpler than the collage.
a winding river illustration
This illustrated landscape may just be one of my favorite art ideas here. The river winds down from snowy mountains past trees, animals and a little island.
There’s so much to look at without adding separate decorations. A simple frame would let all those tiny details stand out.
a canoe-shaped shelf
Want something a little different from the usual bookcase? This canoe-shaped shelf is shown outdoors, but its pointed top and curved sides are lovely inspiration for an adventure room.
If you choose a similar piece for your nursery, check that it’s suitable for indoor use and can be securely anchored before adding books or toys.
mountains clouds and stars
I am obsessed with this little mountain mobile. The pale green trees and yellow stars look so cute beside the dark peaks and white clouds.
Keep any mobile securely installed beyond your baby’s reach. Remove it when your baby starts pushing up on hands and knees, or at five months, whichever comes first.
muted mountains and an orange sun
The mountain wall is gorgeous in this room. Instead of dark blues, there are pale gray-green peaks with a peachy orange sun above them.
I love how the orange detail appears again on the chair cushion and crib blanket. For your own version, carry that color into artwork or a rug rather than loose crib bedding.
three bright park prints
If you are looking for something simple to pull together, this one is for you. Three colorful park prints sit in a row against a pale green wall.
Kings Canyon, Zion and Grand Canyon bring in orange, yellow and blue without needing a big gallery. Choose matching frames to follow this look.
a forest scene underfoot
Don’t want to add a mural or lots of wall art? This rug offers another way to bring in mountains and trees.
I love the mustard, rust and dark green trees beneath the little crescent moon.

It’s pictured in a sitting area rather than a nursery, but you could borrow the colors for your room.
green paneling and a name sign
This green accent wall may just be a favorite. The vertical panels look so pretty behind the brown crib, with a park-style name sign in the middle.
The little landscape hangings on the white wall add brighter colors. Try a similar personalized sign away from the sleep space if you want that park-entrance feel.
a ceiling full of stars
Who says the outdoor theme has to stop at trees? This room goes in a night-sky direction with a dark constellation ceiling, a crescent moon print and blue lower walls.
I love the plain cream upper walls beside all those stars. Borrow this idea if stargazing is the part of a park visit you want to celebrate.
a little woodland toy corner
How adorable is this woodland group? There’s a raccoon perched on the large deer, plus a fox and smaller animals gathered around a pretend log.
Set up a similar toy corner away from the crib. A low basket nearby would give the smaller animals a place to go when playtime is over.
sage green and botanical prints
Looking for quieter colors? These matching green cribs and pale botanical prints give you a softer starting point.
This room isn’t specifically park-themed. You could borrow its sage palette and replace the floral pictures with park illustrations if you want a closer match to the theme.
misty mountains and a green pouf
I know the blue mountain wall above is gorgeous, but this misty landscape is another favorite. The pale mountains, winding water and darker pine trees fill the wall behind the chair and crib.

The round green pouf is such a pretty detail. I’d keep that green in a few accessories and let the mural do most of the decorating.
an adventure reading corner
Last but definitely not least, we have this cute adventure corner. I love the mountain-and-tree banner above the low green seat.
The checked pillow and little bear look lovely together.
Try a similar reading spot with nearby book storage and baskets for toys. The round rug gives you a place to sit and spread out a few books.
