Looking for halloween desserts with cute little ghosts, candy eyes or plenty of chocolate? These ideas give you lots to choose from, including mummy brownies, colorful monster treats and cakes with spooky decorations.
There are a few simple fall designs here too if you’d rather skip the scary faces.
You can keep things small with one platter or go all out with a whole treat table. A couple of the spreads include savory snacks alongside the sweets, so there’s a little party-table inspo mixed in.
Halloween treats worth saving
mummies bats and coffin cookies
We’re starting off strong with this whole table of spooky sweets. I love the mummy brownies beside the white spiderweb designs.
Those orange cookies with black bats are so cute too.
If you want to try a smaller version, choose a few of these designs and group each one on its own platter.
little graveyard cups
How cute are these tiny cookie gravestones? The dark crumbs look like soil above the pale middle layer, with an upright RIP cookie in each cup.
Try clear cups for your own layered dessert so you can see the dark and light stripes. The little graveyard scene is worth keeping simple.
wide-eyed mummy brownies
This brownie decoration may just be one of my favorites here. I love the uneven white stripes crossing over the dark squares.
The big eyes peeking between them make the whole thing.
Keep some gaps between your decorative lines if you want that same wrapped-up mummy look.
melted green witches
Looks like these witches have melted, lol! Each green puddle has a cookie-brimmed hat, a pair of eyes and a little pretzel broom.
The pointed brown candies make such cute hat tops. I’d keep the green bands around them if you’re borrowing this decorating idea.
a spooky snack board
If you are looking for a board with lots of different details, then this one is for you. There are cookie spiders, white ghosts, orange pumpkins and green-topped cereal treats.
This isn’t an all-dessert spread: the pastry-wrapped hot dogs bring in a savory option too. Borrow the mix for a party board, or keep your version entirely sweet.
one giant spiderweb
Don’t want to cover your dessert with lots of little characters? No problem!
This round dessert has a dark top with one large white web stretching across it.
I love the matching web cookies in the background. For your own version, choose an edible spider decoration if you want that little orange accent.
caramel apple platter
Not everything on your Halloween table needs a face. These caramel apples look lovely with chopped nuts around the sides and brown drizzle over some of the tops.

The platter includes whole apples on sticks plus cut pieces. Try that same mix when you want to show off the green apple inside.
gummy worms and cookie dirt
The gummy worm fans are going to love this! Bright worms sit across a dark crumb-covered sheet cake, with some tucked into the topping.
I especially love the blue and green ones against all those cookie pieces. Scatter yours in different directions rather than lining them up.
orange and cream swirls
If you’re looking for something without ghosts or candy eyes, go with this marbled bar design. The orange-brown and pale swirls are so pretty all on their own.
You could serve a similar fall-colored bake beside your more playful treats. I’d leave the tops undecorated so those patterns stay visible.
little white ghosts
I am obsessed with these little ghost sweets. Their white swirls end in pointed tops, with dark eyes and open mouths underneath.
Some lean to the side, which makes them even cuter.
pumpkin-shaped dessert cups
How sweet is this pumpkin idea? Orange swirls sit above crumb bases in clear cups, with short pretzel stems and tiny green leaves on top.
The leaf beside each stem is my favorite detail. Keep that little touch if you’re using this shape as inspiration for your own dessert cups.
mummy cereal bars
This is another cute way to use the mummy design. These rectangular cereal bars have white drizzle across their fronts and tiny dark eyes near the top.
You don’t need matching stripes for this look. The different directions and little gaps are part of what makes each mummy look different.
a candy-covered tray bake
This is one of my favorite decorating ideas on the list. I love how colorful and a little messy the topping looks, with candy pieces scattered between ghosts, bats and pumpkins.
Try a similar mix over a frosted tray bake. Leave a little room around the larger decorations so you can still see their faces.
pumpkin-patterned cake roll
I am in love with the little orange pumpkins on this cake roll. The green details run between them, with a pale filling spiraling through the cut end.
Serve a patterned roll on a plain platter like this one. You could place a slice beside it to show both the outside design and the swirl.

purple one-eyed pops
Who says you have to stick to orange and black? These lavender monster pops have one oversized eye each and purple sprinkles gathered around the sticks.
That single eye is such a cute choice. I’d skip extra facial details if you want to follow this simple little monster design.
ghost-shaped iced rolls
How cute are these iced rolls? The curled centers and loose ends give them funny ghost shapes, with little eyes sitting in the white icing.
They’re all slightly different rather than perfectly matched. That’s the part I’d keep if you’re trying a ghost-shaped bake of your own.
eyeballs with orange sprinkles
Want something a little spookier than the purple monsters? These pale round treats have oversized eyes surrounded by orange-red sprinkles.
I love the orange bowl with black stripes underneath. Try a similar serving bowl to bring the colors together without adding more decorations to the treats.
black cake with white drizzle
If you are looking for a darker centerpiece, then this cake is for you. The nearly black layers and frosting have pale filling peeking between them, plus white drizzle down the outside.
There are no little faces or bright sprinkles here. Just keep the dark-and-light combination if you want something a little less playful.
ghost strawberries and snack cauldrons
The ghost strawberries are so adorable beside these tiny cauldrons. Their white coating has simple dark faces, with green leaves still showing at the tops.

The cauldrons hold savory snacks, including folded salami and cheese, rather than desserts. You could borrow just the strawberry idea for a sweets platter or use the full sweet-and-savory pairing.

monster dessert dip
Last but definitely not least, we have this colorful monster-style dip display. I love the candy eyes and the purple, green and orange pieces scattered through the scoops.
Apple slices, pretzels and cookies surround the bowl. To try a similar presentation, choose a dessert dip recipe intended to be eaten without baking, then add your monster decorations.
