When I skip a headboard, I stack throw pillows against the wall instead. It looks intentional instead of forgotten, haha!
Mix a few sizes and textures so the pile has depth. A boucle one next to a velvet one and the bed suddenly looks planned. Who doesn’t love a trick that costs nothing?
Woven Tapestry Behind Bed
A woven tapestry behind the bed adds color with barely any nail holes. I keep saying I will copy her but never do.
Look for one with texture, not just a flat print. It reads more expensive than it actually costs, lol!
Macrame Wall Hanging Display
Macrame wall hangings turn a blank wall into the whole point of the room. I went with a giant feathered piece because plain diamonds felt too safe for my wall.

Draped curtain panels behind the bed give softness and drama without spending on furniture. I mount the rod high and wide so the fabric puddles a little on the floor. My landlord still has no idea about the holes, lol!

A large mirror behind the bed bounces light around the whole room. My small bedroom suddenly felt bigger the day I leaned one against that wall!
